Change of account number

After changing the provisions regarding bank account numbers to be submitted to the Dutch offices such as Belastingdienst, the taxpayer is required to submit the account number that he owns. According to this rule, an individual who has already submitted account number belonging to another person or organization is obliged to change it. The same applies to the situation where for some reason your account is inactive or closed. If you fail to submit the account number with your declaration, you are likely to receive a letter from Belastingdienst asking you to provide it.

After making a request, Belastingdienst Tax Office will send you a notification that:

  • the number of bank account has been changed or
  • more information is required to change the account number.

Please provide us with the following information to submit or change your bank account number:

  • Personal data – on a special form
  • Print-out from a bank – to certify that you are a primary/joint account holder
  • Color copy of your ID
